10 NAILS

The audience for this project is modern people. I wanted to talk about the bad habits of busy people and arouse their empathy to make them look back on themselves. I reckon they are influenced by their culture, their living environment and everything around them until they have a 'habit'. Among them, I thought that 'biting nails' was a representative bad habit, so it became the starting point.

I wanted to talk about why this habit came about rather than focus on solutions. Therefore, it was visualised based on 10 reasons and images. Based on some surveys, it was generally produced through the reasons why modern people rip their nails and based on my experience. In particular, Korea and Seoul have excessive academic stress. To express this, it indicates how she has developed a habit of biting her nails by continuously showing herself as a student in a Korean school uniform.

At the end, by asking the audience where their nails come from, I give them time to rethink their own habits or backgrounds. This is the purpose of busy modern people: to look back on their lives and comfort themselves about how they got this bad habit.
