MY WORD, MY WORLD
As a maker and visual communicator, I continue to adapt to the specific requirements of all new projects and continue to learn new things at university. I realised that I needed to explore myself before interacting with all kinds of audiences. Additionally, I think I can effectively arouse the audience’s empathy by knowing exactly who I am and how I am composed. This means, before communicating with the audience, I have to communicate with myself first. Therefore, this project focuses on exploring who I am and how to convey myself. For this purpose, I made the conversations with my parents based on my old album. I explored what kind of person I am from my childhood.
Consequently, every year I grew older, I found that I had some characteristics which existed only in those years and these were extracted into words and visualised with collage method.
Overall, I tried to connect the artefact, which is a book I made, with my audience. Through this, I explored how to present, arrange, or deliver works. Lastly, on the last page, the meaning of another start was implied by asking the audience, including myself, the question ‘What is next?’ to communicate with them.
